To All Leawood Residents:

The Leawood Civic Association was formed in 1965. The purpose of the association is to keep the residents informed about the neighborhood as well as to promote social and civic betterment. Thirty-three years ago, farms bordered Leawood on the south and west sides. Imagine, Pierce southbound was not even paved. The growth and change since 1965 has been incredible. Luckily, the overall growth and change has been beneficial to the community. We still wonder how the continuing growth will affect Leawood.

Many residents concerned about the growth of this area and Leawood have joined the LCA. The association's primary goal is to take care of Leawood's best interests. The strength of the association is dependent upon residents joining and participating.
